Retro directed by Karthik Subbaraj follows Paari a man shaped by a turbulent upbringing under a criminal father who raised him within a world of violence and moral compromise. Determined to escape that legacy Paari distances himself from his adoptive family and seeks a peaceful future alongside the woman he loves Rukmini. For a time, the promise of ordinary happiness seems within reach. However the shadows of his past refuse to remain buried, pulling him back into conflicts he desperately tried to leave behind. As old loyalties, enemies and unfinished business resurface Paari is forced to confront whether redemption is truly possible or if destiny is written by the life one was born into. The film blends emotional depth with stylized action, exploring love, identity, and the cost of breaking free from violence.
